Seven Malaysian and Singaporean contractors have been shortlisted to undertake Pulau Indah Ventures Sdn Bhd’s Afiniti Residences@Medini Iskandar Malaysia. They were selected from a pool of 40 contractors from Malaysia and Singapore, which was trimmed down to 14 and finally, to seven.
“Pilling work will start by the end of next month and the project is expected to be completed in the fourth-quarter of 2015,” said Chairman Tan Sri Syed Anwar Jamalullail.
Currently, the 147-unit high-end condo is already sold out; 72 percent of its buyers were Malaysians, of which 37 percent were from Johor. Singaporeans were the main foreign buyers, accounting for 25 percent, while the remaining where Chinese, Indian and Indonesian nationals.
According to The Star, the Afiniti Residences is a 50:50 joint venture between Temasek Holdings Pte and Khazanah Nasional Bhd with a gross development value (GDV) of RM500 million. Located on a 2.02ha site, the 21-storey tower block comprises units between 715 sq ft and 1,064 sq ft priced between RM850 psf and RM1,000 psf.
The development features serviced apartments, a corporate training centre, a wellness centre as well as a wellness-themed retail offering.
“We want to position our urban wellness centre as a leading wellness centre in the region similar to wellness resorts in Switzerland,” Syed Anwar said.
