Afiniti Residences in Medini Iskandar sold out in 2 days!

AFINITI Residences in Medini North, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, which was launched on Saturday, is sold out.

Seventy-two per cent of the buyers were Malaysians, with 37 per cent being Johoreans. Singaporeans accounted for 25 per cent of the buyers, with the remaining units sold to investors from Indonesia, India and China.

Afiniti Residences Sdn Bhd (ARSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pulau Indah Ventures (PIV), completed the sale of the 147-units Afiniti Residences on Saturday.

PIV is a 50:50 joint venture between Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Temasek Holdings Pte, the state-owned investment companies of Malaysia and Singapore, respectively.

Afiniti Residences is part of Afiniti Medini, a 2.02ha integrated development that includes a wellness centre, wellness-themed retail offering, a corporate training centre and serviced apartments.

Construction commenced early this year and the entire development is set to be completed by end-2015.

Afiniti Residences offers 21 levels of premium strata residences consisting of studio, 1+study, 2 and 2+study units, the majority overlooking Legoland Malaysia and Medini.

Many buyers can look forward to views of Oasis, a 87,050 sq ft tropical garden that weaves the development together.

Roslina Arbak, general manager of PIV, said: “We are heartened by the positive response to Afiniti Residences as it reflects the strong demand for urban wellness living for those seeking a work-life balance and respite from their busy lives.

“Pulau Indah Ventures also continues to see interest from tenants keen on spaces in the wellness centre, retail and training areas.

“We will be selective in the choice of tenants and will stay true to our vision of establishing Afiniti Medini as an iconic wellness hub in the region for families, tourists and professionals to enrich, recharge and rejuvenate themselves,” she said in a statement here yesterday.

The balloting, which was observed by international auditing firm KPMG, was held at Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour in Nusajaya.

Balloting first started for registrants in the morning with members of the public joining in the afternoon. Prices started from less than RM500,000 for a studio apartment to less than RM1 million for a 2+study unit, or RM850 to RM1,000 per sq ft.

PIV is in talks with a few international property management companies to provide property management and external leasing services to buyers.

Afiniti Medini is ideally located in the heart of Medini in Medini North and is walking distance from the Mall of Medini, Legoland Malaysia and Gleneagles Medini Hospital.

Parkway Pantai will establish an integrated wellness centre, which will be the first of its kind in the region.

The Ascott Group will manage the Somerset Medini Iskandar serviced apartments and CIMB will be the anchor tenant of the training centre with its CIMB Leadership Academy.

There are spaces available for lease in the wellness centre, retail spaces and training areas.

The development is within a five-minute drive from Educity@Iskandar, Marlborough College Malaysia, Puteri Harbour and the Johor State Administrative Centre of Kota Iskandar.

It is a 20-minute drive from Johor Baru city centre via the Coastal Highway, 40 minutes from Singapore’s Central Business District via the second link in Tuas, and about 23 minutes from the Senai International Airport. It is also easily accessible via the North-South Expressway.
